Digital Collage: A Calendar Reimagined

This experimental animation breathes new life into nostalgic elements through the art of digital collage. Inspired by a unique calendar project that repurposes vintage photographs, stamps, and historical ephemera, the piece transforms these traditional materials into a contemporary narrative. The animation preserves the tactile quality of these collected memories while weaving them into a fresh, modern story.

Styleframe & Process

The narrative is guided by a recurring motif: the "frame." It appears in many forms—first as a mirror reflecting the self, then as a door that opens to reveal a pumpkin carriage, later as elements from a picture book, and finally as a folded piece of paper, before returning to the calendar itself. Each frame acts as a portal, connecting playful mini-games with the deeper idea of rediscovering one's original intention.

Each frame is thoughtfully crafted to honor the original calendar's aesthetic while pushing creative boundaries through digital animation.

The result is a seamless blend of past and present, where aged photographs and classic stamps dance with modern design elements.
